Match On Action

Match On Action: is cutting one shot to another view which matches the original shots action and energy. If the match on action shot is done incorrectly, it will look artificial and jumpy and that is not the aim. It is also another example of a continuity editing shot, which is used to smooth over the discontinuity of the editing process to make a fluid transition between shots.
